IMU Setup Basics

This 1:30 hour session provides a comprehensive understanding of features and issues associated with IMU installation, configuration, and database management. The audience should have basic computer user skills and understand the ICS mission methodology.

The training will be a combination of Powerpoint slides, demonstrations, and actual inputs by the attendees on their computers.

In this session you will learn about:

Prerequisites:

    1) The IMU must be installed or download to your workstation

    2) Your workstation must have internet access

    3) You should have a CAP Incident Commander achievement (any level - trainee is OK) or have a basic IT background.

 

All training sessions are conducted using the web based tools from WebEx.com. This service provides interactive screen displays and uses an audio confernece dial-in for voice (the number used is probably long distance for most users and any charges are your responsibility). VOI calls may also be used. Since the WebEx service is not free, I am forced to make a small charge to users so that I can recover some of the fees that I have to pay.
